All live for permutation and combination
But soldiers for bubble reputation.
They are momentarily acknowledged
Only when they show their bravery and courage.
At the time of war and crisis
They are revered as father and uncle
During peace their minds dwell in ankle.
They are made to stink amid adversity
But debarred from the pieces of prosperity.
They serve the nation with unbearable pains
But people say:
they are hungry for handful grains.
They are away from home
For frontier, needy and destitute
Yet they face the allegations of being rapist
And partner of prostitute.
The politicians know
How the soldiers to handle
For this very reason
They introduced award, badge and medal.
To exploit the bubbling youth
They issue the liquor
Hire and fire
After their health give in and flicker.
They are paid petty perks
Like a piece of pie-crust to dog
Their dreams in dark and dim
Like the day in the dense fog.
