Joanna Maharis

Joanna Maharis, born under the name Kiki Stamatiou, hails from Kalamazoo, MI, USA. She is the oldest of three children. Her education background consists of a BA degree in English, History and Creative Writing from Western Michigan University; an Associates degree in liberal arts from Kalamazoo Valley Community College; and she received her high school diploma from Mattawan High School. She has been writing poetry, fiction and stage plays since she was in the 1st grade. Writing is her passion and her life. Ms. Maharis is the author of three published books: (1) Dominica's Inferno (a novel published by PublishAmerica in April 2006); (2) A Blanket of Fog (a work of poetry published by Unibook, a division of Peleman Industries, in October 2010); and (3) Japlin and Japlin (a novella published by PublishAmerica in November 2010).
